Born 1951 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Miau Yong graduated from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore in 1972 and made a study tour to Europe in 1982. He had his first solo exhibition in Kuala Lumpur in 1988 and henceforth several more was held in Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalm, Sabrah and Singapore. Aside from painting, he also experiments on techniques and colour combinations, using different media from acrylic to oil painting to mixed media. His works have been exhibited in the international art arena such as China, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.
