
Hong Sek Chern
Hong Sek Chern ºéÑ©Õä Currently the Head of Programme, Diploma in Fine Art at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. Sek Chern received her Master in Fine Art from the Goldsmiths College, University of London in 1998. She held her first solo exhibition in 2000 and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Brazil, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, United Kingdom and Vietnam. She won the First Prize in "Expression in Art" by the Singapore Telecoms (1995), Top Prize in Philippe Charriol Foundation Contemporary Art Competition (1996), Juror's Choice in Philip Morris Singapore Art Awards (1996/98/99) and First Prize in the Representational Category of the 18th UOB Painting of the Year Competition (1999). In recognition of her artistic accomplishment, she was awarded "The Young Artist Award" by the National Arts Council of Singapore in 2000.
