Abu Jalal Bin Sarimon

Abu Jalal Bin Sarimon 阿布查拉 A graduate from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore, Abu Jalal has participated in many art exhibitions locally and aboard; in Australia, China, Japan, Korea, Netherlands and ASEAN countries. Abu Jalal loves to explore the richness, joyous and harmonious colours. He depicts many subjects in his creation, human, nature, landscape, animal and any form of object in this planet earth. Abu Jalal always gives strong illustration work and colourful perspective to his paintings, thus projects the pleasure of living in this God-created world. As a Social Commentary Artist, he illustrates his comments on society and the environment, nature and space that he lives in. He employs the artistic devices by using them in different cultural and political contexts. ‘One must be learned before commenting on the society. It can reflect the positive or may be negative fundamentals in the artworks.’ Whatever his thoughts or dreams that are transformed into his painting, an almost surrealist approached best describes in his current artwork ‘Flight H5N1: Flight Cancelled’. He gives freshness and spontaneity to life.
