Lim Choon Jin 林俊能 Choon Jin holds a Master of Arts in Fine Art from the Open University – LaSalle-SIA College of the Arts in 2005, and BA (1st Honours) in Visual Art from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University Australia–LaSalle-SIA College of the Arts in 2004. He was awarded with Highly Commended: Abstract Category in the 24th UOB Painting of the Year Competition (2005); Category Winner: Traditional Chinese Medium Category in the 23rd UOB Painting of the Year Competition (2004); RMIT BA(Hons) Dean’s Excellent Award from the RMIT University Australia (2004); Certificate of Recognition: Singapore ASEAN Art Awards Philip Morris Asia Limited (2003); Certificate of Distinction Award: Traditional Chinese Medium Category in the 15th UOB Painting of the Year Competition (1996). Choon Jin has put up two solo exhibitions: Rhythms of Nature at the Plastique Kinetic Worms Gallery, Singapore (2005); and Nature’s Splendours at the Cape of Good Hope Art Gallery, MICA Building, Singapore (2003). He has participated in many group exhibitions, such as The Singapore Art Show 2005, Nokia Singapore Art 2001, Nokia Singapore Art 1999 and President’s 1997 Charity Art Exhibition.
