Goh Beng Kwan 吴 眠 杈 born 1937, Indonesia. Beng kwan studied art with Singapore Pioneer artist, Chen Wen Hsi. In 1962 he studied at the art Students’ League of new York, u.S.a. and joined Provincetown Workshop, Massachusetts, u.S.a. (1964).In 1982, he won the first prize in the inaugural uoB Painting of the Year Competition and after the win, he devoted himself fully to painting. travelling has became a lifestyle and artistic theme for Goh since the 1980s. He is also the recipient of the Culture Medallion award, Singapore in 1989. His latest solo show, “Journey to the east.” was held at CJ Gallery, San Diego. (2007)
